Meet The Team
Dr William Vuong
William graduated with a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and Masters of Chiropractic from Macquarie University. During his studies, he excelled in the theory of Chiropractic, however his true skills were seen during hands on manual therapy work. Within the final years of his studies, he was the sole recipient of a scholarship from members of the Australian Chiropractic Association, which was assessed on the criteria of: academic merit; proven initiative; character; and generous and outgoing nature.
William believes in excellent quality health care and strives to go the extra mile for all his clients. His areas of interest include management of back pain, neck pain, headaches and sports injury rehabilitation. He is an avid gym goer and has a strong background in weightlifting; this gives him a thorough understanding of the impacts that injuries have on your physical and mental wellbeing.
William’s passion for chiropractic stemmed from when he suffered a debilitating lower back injury when playing competitive oztag in high school. This injury affected his daily function greatly, leading him to seek treatment from various health professionals with limited results. It wasn’t until he was recommended to see a chiropractor that he started to see improvements and take control of his pain. William’s amazing results with chiropractic care and his eventual return to competitive oztag lead him to his interest and further studies in Chiropractic.
William implements a variety of manual therapy techniques to cater for the wide range of presenting complaints. These techniques involve soft tissue therapy, manual muscle release techniques, trigger point therapy, diversified chiropractic adjustments, dry needling and the use of instrumental assisted soft tissue tools. William has a strong emphasis on the use of rehabilitative exercises and believes in the power of movement to assist a pain free lifestyle. He aims to educate his clients about the cause and relationship of pain, which plays a vital part in an individual’s healthcare. William believes that this knowledge will empower the individual to take control of their health.
Outside of chiropractic, William enjoys reading, going to the gym, exploring the gems of Sydney and has also found a recent interest in Jiu-Jitsu. William is excited to be apart of the team at Pro Health, working alongside a like-minded team to make positive changes in individuals’ lives. William is looking forward to meeting you at Pro Health clinic.
