Remedial Massage Therapist
Sam joined the Pro Health Clinic team in 2018 after graduating with a Diploma in Remedial Massage. He is also a Professional Dancer and Dance Teacher and combines his experience as a Dancer and Remedial Massage Therapist to provide the best possible treatment to his clients.
Having studied dance from the age of 8, Sam has been training for 20 years. He has studied Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Popping and many other dance styles. Sam graduated with a BA (Bachelor of the Arts) Majoring in Dance studies from Wesley Institute in 2013 and continues to study.
Sam is inquisitive, he seeks to understand how and why bodies function the way they do and what circumstances have led to the dysfunction inside or outside of the body. Having suffered numerous injuries in his 20 years of dance experience, he is able to empathize with people and the pain they are going through, and work closely with them to reach their goals and improve their quality of life.
Always seeking knowledge and aiming to improve his treatments, Sam employs different massage techniques to provide effective relief from pain. These techniques include; Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point therapy (TrP), Active Release Technique, Positional Release Technique, Myofascial Release (MFR) and other techniques such as PNF stretching (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) and Dry Needling.
Sam is extremely active and can be seen dancing on the Pro Health Clinic Instagram page and TikTok. He believes that the pursuit of health should be fun and an individual’s mental health has a direct relation to physical well-being. Through treatment, he wishes to educate, entertain and provide a safe space for people to begin their journey towards their health goals.
